The Great Gatsby in 3D
Director Baz Luhrmann will take the Jazz Age into the modern age now that reports have been confirmed that he'll shoot his version of "The Great Gatsby" in 3-D.
As Marquee reported last month, Luhrmann said he had workshopped the project in 3-D but hadn't yet committed to using the technology. Now, a deal has been struck to shoot "Gatsby" in 3-D in Sydney, Australia, writes the Hollywood Reporter.
The film will star Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan as shallow Daisy Buchanan. Mulligan is said to have beat out actresses Keira Knightley, Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson for the coveted role. (What happened with Brad Pitt?)
Pre-production on Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" is set to begin next month, with shooting slated to start in August in Australia.
The most famous film The Great Gatsby in 1974 was directed by Jack Clayton and produced by David Merrick, from a screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola
The film stars Robert Redford in the title role of Jay Gatsby, Mia Farrow, Bruce Dern, Karen Black, Scott Wilson, Sam Waterston and Lois Chiles with Howard Da Silva, Roberts Blossom, and Edward Herrmann.

Behind the brand:
Marchesa is named after socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati.
British born Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig met at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London. Georgina, a 2001 graduate of the Wimbledon School of Art, began her career as a costume designer. Keren graduated from Brighton Art College in 2000 and subsequently focused on print and embroidery design. Georgina’s draping and design paired with Keren’s textile creations resulted in the establishment of Marchesa in 2004.

'Coco Chanel & Igor Stavinski' - the movie
Besides a beautiful cinematography
It's also nice to see the story on how the world famous legendary perfume first created
Did you know? It takes 400 roses to make a half-liter of rose absolue, the precious oil that is blended with other ingredients in the perfume. The Chanel No. 5 roses are an ancient species called Centifolia that blooms only once a year.
