From Solstiss official rep:

Solstiss did a rush delivery, 15 days ago to the Alexander McQueen's studio: precisely 25 meters of Lace reference 401200 in 175 cm width, color Silk and reference 403054.... A treasured secret until the ceremony on Friday, April 29, 2011 in London.
Alexander McQueen’s production manager confirmed it the same morning and that the gown is made of 2,000 lace patterns appliqués on lace or tulle
, a real savoir-faire.

Now it's official: Solstiss dressed the most Queenly of the brides, in Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.
- "As for every Haute Couture or Ready to Wear show it is a last minute surprise. "
"You never know in advance. ... this is the magic of our business"
"and each time it is a great gift for all those men and women who work with these Leavers looms from another time! " according to Christopher Machu, Solstiss President

A Made in France, again unprecedented, at the marriage of Prince William and Kate: Champagne and lace were French... so chic!

We cannot wait for July 1st and 2nd to discover Charlene Wittstock’s gown.
